Gospel of Justice is a collaboration between 84 Productions and St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church in Palos Verdes, CA to bring the age-old biblical stories into 2017 and all of its social issues. The goal of this project is to raise the question “What does the bible have to do with my life?” In this current world where immigrants are being deported, queer people are harshly criticized, and people of color are being negatively profiled, where does God fit in? Through the stories of biblical icons such as Moses’ mother and Abraham, to the stories of modern people, such as a young queer woman to a Syrian refugee, we hope to bring God’s love into 2017.
